Answer :

Reference -:

The Lines are taken from the chapter ‘Are you an Entrepreneur’ by Victor Kiam.

Explanation -

The writer says that nothing worthwhile can be achieved when your eyes are glued to the clock. Going to work to nine in the morning and coming way at five in the afternoon is not going to lead you anywhere. It is an office goer’s mentality, a clerk’s habit to keep eyes on the clock and working from nine to five. You will have to make sacrifice of your time to achieve success. In the fields of science, industry, business etc. Following limits of time will not lead you anywhere. You will have to plunge yourself deep forgetting all time-limits to bring out pearls of success. ‘Forget lunch time , forget dinner time, forget enjoying weekends and devote yourself to work, and you will find your venture progressing by leaps and bounds’ is the message of the lesson ‘Are You an Entrepreneur’ ?

Long Question

Question 1)
What are the prerequisites (qualities) of a good entrepreneur ?

Answer :
According to Victor Kiam , an entrepreneur must have many prerequisites . The writer gives six important tips which are important for becoming an entrepreneur .
             First of all,
the entrepreneur should have enough Self-Confidence. Self-Confidence is a must for a young entrepreneur . A confident entrepreneur enjoys the full faith of his investors . He can easily convince his customers about the quality products and services . All this is possible if he is filled with Self-Confidence . Lack of Confidence is not a disease . It is a symptom of fear and negative attitude of your capabilities . You are afraid of taking risks . You want to play safe . You dare not take decision lest you should not in trouble. But once you take an action your confidence is built in yourself .
Secondly , the entrepreneur must produce top-quality products . The quality of products is more important than the Sales.

The third thing is to be willing to make sacrifice. A good entrepreneur does not go by the fixed hours of work . He will have to forget his lunches and dinners , on time to time . He might have to forget about relaxing week-ends.

The fourth point is to recognise the opportunity . The entrepreneur should examine from every angle before accepting or rejecting it .

The fifth point is to be able to take a quick decision . He should not get nervous in adversity (difficult situation ) .

The last point is that the entrepreneur should himself set an example before his workers . He should be ready to work harder than his subordinates do .
